The star of the Disney film “The Finest Hours” is on display at the Michigan Maritime Museum in South Haven. We’re talking about the 36-foot motor lifeboat used in the film. Museum Executive Director Patty Montgomery says they’ve been working for several years to get the boat on display…

“We actually had it in the works before Disney came into the picture. Jeff Shook, the owner of the boat, has several Coast Guard Vessels he has done a lot of work on, and he is sharing this one to the museum on a long-term loan.”

High winds and waves delayed the arrival of the boat from Saturday to Sunday. It was escorted to the museum by the United States Coast Guard.
