Starting this Friday is the 49th annual Coloma Glad-Peach Festival. The event celebrates the region’s peach growers, and gives everyone a chance to have a good time. Festival President Julie Pupedis says vendors open up around noon Friday and then the opening ceremony is at 6:15 p.m. Then, it’s on to the evening’s entertainment.

“The band, Hammered, which is classic rock, on the showcase stage down by Family Dollar,” Pupedis told WSJM. “There’s a square dance demonstration down by that end of town, as well. On the Leonard Main Stage, we have Ultra Fab, which is a top 40 dance band.”

Saturday brings 5 and 10K run and walk, as well as the parade at 1 p.m. The Family Art Fair at Laura Baker Park runs from 2 to 4, where everyone can make their own tie dyed shirts. The evening will feature live music, and then the fireworks at 10:30. Things wrap up Sunday with the Kids Pedal Tractor Pull, magic, and a car show. You can find the schedule at ColomaPeachFest.com.
