Halloween isn’t far off, and up and running for the season is the Niles Scream Park. Manager Matt Herm tells WSJM News the theme this year is 1930s monsters. Visitors can take in different scenes from several classics.

“We have different movies that they go through,” Herm said. “So, it’s Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein, Dracula. You know, all the good ones.”

Herm says the special effects this year are some of the best he’s seen yet. The Niles Scream Park is staffed by volunteers, and its revenues go straight to their favorite charities each year. Herm says it’s given out more than $1.6 million in the past 18 years. You can find out more at Haunted.org.
