The Berrien County Health Department and Michigan State Police are holding a prescription drug take-back event at Lakeshore High School on Saturday. Kerri Teachout is the health department’s prevention services supervisor.

“The medication disposal is meant for any medication that’s unused or expired,” says Teachout. “There are no questions asked for anybody to drop them off.”

They will also hold a “Drugs 101: What Parents Want To Know” presentation from 8 to noon in the high school auditorium. If you can’t make it out to Lakeshore High School on Saturday, police remind you that there are drop boxes at several police departments in the area, and old and unwanted medicine can also be taken to Walgreens for disposal.
