Downtown St. Joseph is going to the dogs. On Saturday, the 18th annual Reindog Parade will be held downtown. That’s when folks dress up their canine friends and march down State Street with Santa as the head of the procession. St. Joseph Today’s Daniele Crevier tells WSJM News it’s a lot of fun to see the dressed up pooches.

“Some of them wear really funny sweaters,” Crevier said. “Last year, we had a dog that was dyed green so it was a Grinch. We had a Harry Potter family last year that had a sign that said ‘I used to be a cat’ on their dog. So, it’s really neat.”

The parade starts at 4 p.m. and you can still register your dog to take part by going to the St. Joe Welcome Center. After the parade, Santa will take his regular position downtown and be there Thursdays through Sundays until December 23.
