The Palisades nuclear power plant next week will hold another open house at its operations center in Benton Harbor for everyone to come and learn everything they want to know about the facility. Palisades spokesperson Val Gent tells WSJM News they’ll have experts on hand to answer questions.
“The purpose of these open houses, which Palisades has been hosting for a number of years, is to ensure the general public is well-informed on plant operations,” Gent said. “The overarching theme of this open house is, since the announcement of the plant’s shutdown, Entergy continues to invest in the safe and reliable operations of Palisades.”
Gent says the open house will begin with an hour-long poster board session with plant staff, followed by a formal presentation, and then the Q and A. Anyone can show up to the operations facility on West Main Street in Benton Harbor on Wednesday, the 29th from 5 to 7 p.m.
