The race is down to 8 in state Senator John Proo’s annual Southwest Michigan Spirit Tournament. He tells WSJM News, each year, his office takes photo submissions from different schools throughout his district to find out who’s the most proud.
“The competition is about how we can best show that pride,” Proos said.
The Elite 8 matchups in this latest spirit tournament are Bridgman vs. Michigan Lutheran, Watervliet vs. Brandywine, Centreville vs. Three Rivers, and Marcellus vs. Coloma.
