The Cass County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a bicyclist was clipped by a semi Friday morning. It says deputies were called out to Lakeland Hospital in Niles when a 22-year-old man showed up seeking treatment. He said he’d been riding his bike to work along M-60 between Yankee Street and Reum Road in Howard Township around 5 a.m. when he was hit by the tractor-trailer. He continued on to work, and from there was sent to the hospital to seek treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening. Police have not identified the semi that hit him.
