The winners of this year’s Southwest Michigan Spirit Tournament are the Watervliet Panthers. The contest is held each year by state Senator John Proos. His office takes photo submissions from different schools within his district, asking them all to show off how they have the most pride. Proos pits the schools against each other in a bracket-style competition which goes on for several weeks, March Madness style. The Watervliet Panthers came out on top in the final round, over the Marcellus Wildcats, this year. Proos tells us he’s thrilled by the response the tournament got. You can find out more right here.
