A Sunday afternoon rollover accident in Van Buren County has now claimed the life of the passenger of the SUV. The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department says the 50-year-old Lawton man died yesterday at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Officers had to use the Jaws of Life to get him out of the SUV, while the 29-year-old man from Paw Paw who was behind the wheel was thrown from the vehicle during the crash. He remains hospitalized at Bronson. The vehicle rolled several times after hitting a tree and a power pole on County Road 657 at 66th Avenue, and nearly hit a house.
