Set for this Friday is a jazz party at Lemon Creek Winery in Berrien Springs. It’s raising money for Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children, a group that provides advocates for kids in the foster care system. Volunteer Southwest Michigan’s Judi Burninson tells WSJM News the headliner is Joan Collaso.

“She has opened in front of just about everybody in the industry,” Burninson said. “She’s currently touring with Aretha Franklin, and she’s often on Empire as a backup singer.”

It’s $50 to get in and you can find tickets at VolunteerSWMI.org. All proceeds go to the CASA organization. A ticket will also get you two glasses of wine. Friday’s show starts at 6:30 p.m.
