A Niles High School student is being treated for injuries after he was hit by a vehicle near the school on Tuesday. The Niles Police Department tells us it happened around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of 14th Street and Eagle. The 16-year-old student was crossing Eagle Street headed to school when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle driven by a 46-year-old man. The student was taken to Memorial Hospital, and police say they don’t know his condition. They say neither alcohol nor speed were factors. The incident remains under investigation.
