New polling results have been released regarding the race for governor. If the Republican primary were held today, MRG Polling Firm says Bill Schuette would garner 33% of the vote, others significantly less. Michigan News Network Lansing Bureau Chief Tim Skubick tells us there’s a front runner among Democrats.

“In the Democratic side, if the primary were to be held today, Gretchen Whitmer would get 27%, and others far less,” Skubick said. “There are 58% undecided in the Democratic side and 48% undecided on the Republican side.”

Skubick says the August primary is next year to pick the candidates to run for Michigan governor. Republican front runner Bill Schuette is about tied with Democratic front runner Gretchen Whitmer.
