The University of Detroit-Mercy is resetting its tuition for undergraduate students. President Dr. Antoine Garibaldi tells Michigan News Network they’re lowering their costs to 2008 levels. They’re going from $41,000 dollars to $28,000 dollars.

“We selected $28,000 for that price in part because we saw that as being very comparable to the revenues that we currently receive for tuition, and also because we thought that would be less of a burden on many prospective students going forward.”

Garibaldi says it will allow the school to be more competitive, attracting more prospective students
