Nobody’s won the Mega Millions recently and tonight’s jackpot is $421 million. Michigan Lottery spokesman Jeff Holyfield told Michigan News Network Friday that’s the fifth largest Mega Millions jackpot.
“If somebody won the jackpot and said, ‘Hey, I’m going to spend $421 million, I’m going to spend $1,000 per hour,’ it would take them about 48 years,” Holyfield said.
The cash option would be $250 million before taxes. Odds of winning are just 1 in 300 million, but he says a Port Huron couple won more than $200 million in 2002.
