It’s time for the annual Celebrate Bridgman event. Set for Saturday, the day will feature a variety of family-friendly activities all around town. Mayor Hannah Anderson says it’s a great way to celebrate the community, and also welcome in some visitors.

“It’s been growing every year, and I think this year it’s going to be even better because two of our breweries are now open,” Anderson told WSJM.

The day kicks off at 8 a.m. with a 5K run and walk. After that, the parade is set for 11 a.m., followed by a car show, a sand art show at Weko Beach, and finally, the Firemen’s Dance at 7 p.m. Anderson says the day will also feature art displays around town and an old fashioned carnival at Berrien Community Church. Bridgman police note that parking will not be allowed on Lake Street starting in the morning until after the parade.
