Brace yourself for some hot days going into this weekend. National Weather Service meteorologist Evan Webb says Thursday is expected to have a heat index into the 100s around west Michigan. Friday will be hotter.
“Friday looks like the hottest day, so it’s definitely important to keep that in mind over the next couple of days,” Webb told WSJM. “Drink plenty of water, find some shade, try to avoid long hours of outdoor strenuous activity, that sort of thing.”
Everyone’s also reminded to keep their pets safe, with plenty of cold water and shade for any animals left outside. Webb says the heat wave could last through the weekend in some places.
