Governor Rick Snyder is helping out six state House candidates with a series of TV ads. Among the candidates is state Representative Brandt Iden, of Kalamazoo County. He says he doesn’t think the governor’s ad indicates he’s in trouble.
“The district numbers are always tough, but I don’t think so,” Iden said. “I’ve had a long relationship with the governor since prior to his election, and I just think it’s based on our friendship.”
Iden beat Democrat John Fisher by five points in 2014. He says he was surprised by the ad from Snyder’s non-profit, Making Government Accountable.
