If you’re not registered to vote, then you’re almost out of time to do so if you want to have a say in November’s presidential election. Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson is reminding stragglers they have until October 11 to register for November.

“The election will be Tuesday, November 8, and the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.,” Johnson said. “It’s a great time to have your voice heard. Make sure you vote.”

Johnson tells WSJM News you have to be 18 on election day to vote, but you can still register now if you’re not yet 18. Her office has been working to register young people in time, sending its mobile branch office to college campuses around Michigan this month.
