About 60% of Michiganders are planning to hit the road this fall, as October becomes a more popular month to travel. AAA of Michigan’s Susan Hiltz tells WSJM News there are several reasons why.

“The weather’s cooler, tourist attractions tend to be less crowded, and the kids are back in school so travelers can often find a greater deal on hotels, flights, and cruises,” Hiltz said. “Definitely some big pluses for that off-peak season for travelling.”
