There’s a log of things that come to mind when reading this story…but the headline is “Doing Housework Adds 3 Years To Your Life”. Some of the contingencies that come to my mind are, “if you’re not married and don’t have children” or “if you drink wine while you do them”…but the actual catch here is, housework adds 3 years to your life if you are a woman. I know, I know…what a stereotypical thing to say, right?? But, there is scientific evidence to back it up. The researchers that did the study say that women are most likely to do housework chores more than men, in turn putting more effort into them versus men just doing them quick just to get through them. This also includes it being considered almost exercise benefits. NOW, that being said, the same is true with men and doing yard work, which will only add 2.5 years on to their lives…unless you grew up in my family with a little hillbilly side, then there’s certainly a higher likelihood of a shorter lifespan because we usually start our yard work by “hold my beer and watch this!”
