Suspended Benton Harbor High School Principal Rodger Tripplett remains employed with the district, but what will happen to him next? Following last week’s school board vote not to fire Tripplett, there is still no answer to that question. Board Trustee Joseph Taylor tells WSJM News it’s all up to the lawyers now.

“Since the vote did not pass to fire, they’re working on whatever’s next, whether it be a job back with Benton Harbor Area Schools, and so that’s between the attorneys right now for Mr. Tripplett and the school district’s attorneys.”

The school board heard from a few more supporters of Tripplett at a Thursday special meeting, but trustees had little to say. Taylor told us later that it’s possible another vote on whether to fire Tripplett could be held, but he doesn’t see that happening. He couldn’t say if Tripplett will be reinstated.
