This is a busy time for the Berrien County Clerk’s office, with the big November 8 election looming. Clerk Sharon Tyler tells WSJM News everyone’s doing election training, and they’re testing all of the equipment to make sure it’s accurate. As for voters, she reminds them of what they should do come November 8.

“I think people are very excited and passionate about this election,” Tyler said. “So, be patient with people, be patient with your election workers. We’re trying to do the best so that your vote counts. Everybody’s vote counts and we want to be sure that there are no issues.”

Tyler says you can’t wear buttons or t-shirts showing your support for any candidate or party when you head to the polling place. If you wear something like that, you’ll be asked to remove it or turn it inside out. Also, be sure to bring a photo ID.
