Drivers are being warned that I-94 near Hartford will be closed for a couple of hours this weekend. The Michigan Department of Transportation’s Nick Schirripa tells WSJM News MDOT, police, and Indiana Michigan Power will be on hand for a utility project between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday.

“We’re going to have some intermittent 15-minute long total closures of I-94 so American Electric can run some utility lines over the highway,” Schirripa said.

Schirripa says police will block off the road when needed. Drivers will be redirected on to Red Arrow Highway. The work is taking place in both the eastbound and westbound lanes.
