One third of Michiganders do not have a life insurance policy. That’s the finding of a recent AAA survey. The Auto Club Group’s Assistant Vice President of Life Insurance Sales Michael Fletcher tells Michigan News Network it’s a bit surprising.

“It’s one of those things where you kind of take a step back and realize the importance of making sure your loved ones protected,” Fletcher said.

Fletcher says Michigan residents cite cost as the number one reason why they don’t have life insurance. He says all it would take is one accident or terminal illness to leave your family in financial peril.
