Wednesday is the eighth annual Kitchenaid Day of Caring. That’s when volunteers from both Whirlpool and Kitchenaid fan out across the Benton Harbor and St. Joe areas to volunteer with various non-profits. Kitchenaid’s Chris Ball tells WSJM News they want to make a difference.

“This is about creating strong connections to the community,” Ball said. “We think that’s really the foundation for a great business. At the end of it, this is kind of a symbol for us as a company, Whirlpool Corporation and also the Kitchenaid team, on how much we value the communities where we live and also giving back.”

More than 150 Whirlpool and Kitchenaid volunteers will be doing everything from painting to cleaning to planting at 11 local non-profits. Ball tells us it’s always a rewarding experience.
