South Haven’s Michigan Maritime Museum is in the Halloween spirit with its third annual Haunted Museum event tomorrow and Saturday. The museum’s Ashley Deming says this year’s theme is FALLOUT, with the facility being transformed to features failed experimental projects on humans during the early years of the Cold War.
“Radioactive exposure, mutations, chemical testing, adverse reactions to that, these are really some of the failures that the U.S. government tried to contain but couldn’t,” Deming says. She adds they’re transforming the museum into the testing sites for various projects on people. The event is not recommended for young kids, and Deming tells us all minors will need to be with an adult. The event is from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with the last admission at 11. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
