A couple of former employees of the Southeast Berrien County Landfill Authority are facing charges in an embezzlement case. The Berrien County Prosecutor’s office tells WSJM News 46-year-old Clyde Fuller of Buchanan and 54-year-old Terry Snow of Eau Claire were arraigned on Tuesday. Fuller is charged with conducting a criminal enterprise and embezzlement over $10,000, while Snow is charged with aiding and abetting a criminal enterprise and embezzlement over $10,000.

The prosecutor says an investigation by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department looked into payments made by the landfill authority to one particular company, GT & S Enterprises. The payments totaled about $249,000 between December of 2016 and June of 2017. Turns out GT & S Enterprises is owned by Terry Snow’s mother, and the company provided no services to the landfill. The payments from the landfill authority to GT & S Enterprises coincided with transfers to bank accounts owned by Fuller and Snow individually.  The payments were authorized by Fuller. The landfill authority was not told about the relationship between Snow and the company.

Fuller’s bond is set at $20,000 and Snow’s is at $10,000. Both face up to 20 years in prison and both are due back in court December 20.
