Michigan Blood is hoping southwest Michigan residents will step up to contribute blood this month. Spokesperson Mariya Mohrbach tells WSJM News there will be a special drive at the Michigan Blood office in St. Joseph on Wednesday They could use some help.
“The amount of donations tend to go down with all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays,” Mohrbach said. “A lot of people tend to forget about the needs of others.”
On December 27, if you show up at the Michigan Blood location on Cleveland Avenue in St. Joe, you could get a $10 gift card to Meijer or Speedway when you donate blood. Michigan Blood supplies blood to more than 60 hospitals around the state.
