The National Weather Service says the winter storm warning now in effect for Berrien and Cass counties will continue through Friday evening. Meteorologist Christopher Roller tells WSJM News the snow will keep coming in bands of lake effect.
“We’ve got lake effect snow traversing north and south through the region with periods of whiteout conditions, especially within some of the stronger bands,” Roller said. “Just continue to be careful on the roadways, leaving as much distance between you and the next car as possible.”
Roller tells us, in all, there are some areas where as much as 20 inches of snow could have fallen throughout the last few days. He reminds everyone it’s a good idea to keep some emergency supplies in their vehicles.
