A meeting will be held this week in Benton Harbor for folks concerned about the behavior of young people in the community to discuss ways of improving it. Pastor Steven McCoy with McCoy’s Memorial Church of God In Christ tells WSJM News there are increasing reports of youth disciplinary issues.

“We as a community have to come together, and we have to find a solution to the problem and to the situation to help our young people in our community,” McCoy said.

McCoy will lead a discussion on Thursday at his church on how to better guide young people. Benton Harbor Area Schools tells us Thursday’s meeting is “to respond to the rising behaviors exhibited by children within the community.” The gathering starts at 6 p.m.
