Share the road. That’s the message from Secretary of State Ruth Johnson during the Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month. Johnson has been riding motorcycles since she was 12 and says drivers need to watch out for motorcycles. She spoke with Michigan News Network about the issue this week.

“We don’t often give enough room unless we consciously think about it,” Johnson said.

Johnson says motorcyclists should take a class and get endorsed to lessen the chance of accidents. She’s took part in a ride with others in Oakland County this morning.
