The state of Michigan will unload unclaimed property with a couple of auctions this weekend. The Michigan Department of Treasury tells us its annual unclaimed property auction will be held in Lansing on Friday and Saturday. The property in question is obtained through abandoned safe deposit boxes. While Treasury does work to return those items to their rightful owners, the effort isn’t always successful. The items include coins, currency, collectibles, and jewelry. The auction will be held at the Lansing Quality Suites in Delta Township. Anyone looking for more information can click this link.
