Congressman Fred Upton is running unopposed on the Republican primary ballot today for another term in the U.S. House, but there are four Democrats vying to be his opponent in November. Voters in the 6th District will pick from David Benac, Rich Eicholz, George Franklin, and Dr. Matt Longjohn. None of the four has previously held elected office.

In the other federal race, John James and Sandy Pensler are facing each other in the Republican primary for their party’s nomination to take on incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow in November. James has surged to the lead in the polls following the securing of an endorsement from President Trump.

Polls are open today from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and we will have the results on WSJM.com and the Town Crier Wire.
