A new statewide hotline for survivors of sexual assault is available. Jordan Kenendy, a spokeswoman for Governor Rick Snyder, spoke with Michigan News Network about the hotline last month.

“The hotline will provide confidential, anonymous 24-7 access to a trained counselor, and so when a survivors calls, there will be a trained person on the line who can handle their call, who can provide support to the, right there on the spot,” Kenedy said.

Kenedy says the hotline’s day-to-day operations will be run by the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence. The number to call is 1-855-VOICES4.
