High school seniors and their parents are being invited to the annual College Night on the campus of Lake Michigan College on Monday to learn more about dozens of colleges and universities throughout the Midwest. Adults who are going back to school are also being welcomed to meet with representatives from higher education institutions from across Michigan and Indiana. Jeremy Schaeffer is LMC’s director of admissions and recruitment and tells us there will be more than just school reps on hand.

“We’ll have two financial aid information sessions at 6:15 and 7 to really start to understand what they need to do to apply for federal aid and the opportunities that are granted there,” Schaeffer tells WSJM News.

Among the institutions set to be at the event are Western Michigan, Andrews, Grand Valley, Ferris State, the University of Michigan, Indiana University South Bend, Michigan State, Central Michigan, and more.

The event will be in the Grand Upton Hall of The Mendel Center in Benton Harbor from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It is free, and no registration is needed to attend.
