A motion picture that was filmed almost entirely in South Haven and released in 2017 will be shown locally at no charge on October 13th at the Listiak Auditorium. The event is sponsored by the South Haven-Van Buren County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the South Haven Center for the Arts. Scott Reinert, Executive Director of the Bureau, tells WSJM News you may see people you know in the film.

“About four or five years ago, there was a group that came into town to film a new movie,” Reinert said. “The working title at the time and the title of the movie is Alaska is a Drag, and a number of the locals in the area here was cast as support roles in the film.”

The film has not been rated but, there is adult content in the film, with some violence and bullying depicted. Writer and Director of the film, Shaz Bennet will introduce the film and have a question and answer session after the film, shown on the 13th at 5:30 at the Listiak Auditorium.
