Brett Young has been named the 2018 ASCAP Country Songwriter/Artist of the Year. The award is earned by the songwriter who has written and recorded at least two songs that have amassed the greatest airplay during a predetermined time period. Brett has co-written four of his consecutive No. 1 hits—including “In Case You Didn’t Know,” and “Like I Loved You.”  Young follows in the footsteps of singer/songwriters like Alan Jackson, Sam Hunt and Matthew Ramsey of Old Dominion, who all previously received this honor. Young will be recognized at the 56th annual ASCAP Country Music Awards on Nov. 12 in Nashville.
