Good News – 12/17/18

A charitable effort far away, that comes from fairly close to our home! U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Gregory Ellis is looking to raise about $750,000 to help homeless veterans stay warm during the holiday season and beyond with coats that convert into sleeping bags. The jackets are made by The Empowerment Plan, a non-profit located in Detroit, that hires single parents from homeless shelters to sew the jackets.
