The federal government will be fully operational for the next three weeks thanks to a deal announced by President Trump to end the 35-day partial shutdown. But for furloughed IRS worker Janet Diggs of Detroit, all of it has been a waste of time.
“Pure B.S.,” she tells the Michigan News Network at the North American International Auto Show. “We waited 35 days for this and now in three weeks I get to worry, so I’m sort of in the same boat.”
What’s in place for the next three weeks does not include any money for Trump’s border wall. Those negotiations will continue.
