ORTHODONTIST DONATES GIRL SCOUT COOKIES TO FIRST RESPONDERS

An orthodontist in Spokane, Washington, is helping local Girl Scout troops and thanking first responders in the area by buying cookies from the scouts and then donating them to the first responders.

For the second year in a row, Dr. Bret Johnson has committed to buying 24 boxes of cookies from each troop that visits his office in uniform for a group photo. He has also committed to donating all the cookies to first responders in Spokane.

Last year, Dr. Johnson bought 480 boxes of Girl Scout cookies — totaling $2,880 in cookies sales. This year, he’s hoping to top that amount.

Of course, it’s up to the Girl Scout troops to do their part by knocking on his door and making the sale before cookie season is over.
