Three finalists will be back in Lansing for the last round of interviews in the search for Michigan’s new State Schools Superintendent. The three emerged from five candidates interviewed this week by the state Board of Education. Being called back in May will be Kalamazoo Public Schools Superintendent Michael Rice, Ann Arbor Public Schools Superintendent Jeanice Swift and Minnesota Commissioner of Education Brenda Cassellius. The state superintendent post has been filled on an interim basis since the death of Brian Whiston last year from cancer.
