An anonymous call to the state’s OK2SAY tip line has resulted in the arrest of a 15-year-old for allegedly making a threat against Berrien Springs High School. Police say several students overheard a classmate asking for help getting a gun to shoot others at school. Authorities were notified shortly before 4:30 Wednesday afternoon of the threat and took the teen into custody. He is facing a felony with a 10-year sentence if convicted. The Berrien Springs-Oronoko Township Police Department says no weapons were found, and the suspect was unable to get his hands on a gun, and add the school’s safety and security plans worked as designed. The school district has been promoting the OK2SAY tip line as a way to report any unsafe activity.
