State Representative Brad Paquette welcomed royalty to Lansing on Tuesday. He told us he was planning to have the Blossomtime court at the state Capitol.

“Today we have Mr. and Miss Blossomtime in Lansing, and we we’re going to honor them on the floor this afternoon,” Paquette said. “They have been doing Mr. and Miss Blossomtime for the last 100 years in Berrien County, so we’re honored to have their royalty here.”

Miss Bangor, Olivia Ellis, and Mr. Coloma, Sin’cere Taylor, are Mr. and Miss Blossomtime. Paquette said he wanted to showcase a part of southwest Michigan history to his fellow lawmakers, and also show the Blossomtime court how things are done in Lansing. Also welcoming the Blossomtime court to Lansing were state Representative Pauline Wendzel and state Senator Kim LaSata.
