The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department is mourning the loss of one of its K9s. The department says Nero passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning. It tells us Nero was a devoted and loyal partner to Deputy Brandon Crosby for the last five years. It adds its thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Crosby and his family.
