Downtown St. Joseph is the place to be this Friday evening as the annual Mike Yore Memorial Car Show will take place along the bluff from 4 to 9 p.m. St. Joe Today’s Amy Zapal tells WSJM News there will be more than 200 cars, all more than 25 years old, on display.

“The owners of these cars take such pride and such care of these cars,” Zapal said. “It’s pretty amazing. There will be something from the 60s like a GTO or something from the 30s like an Auburn. There’s some foreign cars, there are some great examples of some American muscle cars, which are always great. There are a million different things to see.”

Zapal says in addition to the cars, you can stop by the Howard Band Shell for a free concert, and stroll through the downtown shops. The Midsummer Classic events continue on Saturday with the 2019 Race for the YMCA 5K Run andWalk. The St. Joe Farmers Market will be held at Lake Bluff Park from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra will host its SummerFest event at Silver Beach Shadowland Pavilion at 4 p.m. Saturday.
