Southwest Michigan has a rich history of growing and shipping fruit, and a special program on the topic is happening at the North Berrien History Museum in Coloma. It’s set for August 17 and is called Agriculture History Day. Museum Executive Director Jack Greve spoke with WSJM News about what’s planned..

“We’ve having Agriculture History Day,” Greve said. “This is really related to people in the area because we’re in the Fruit Belt here in southwest Michigan.”

The event will also feature free snacks and refreshments, along with hands on activities for kids 6 to 12. You can take in the history of Northern Berrien County at the museum located in Coloma across from the high school and visit NorthBerrienHistory.org.
