Saying “enough is enough” following the weekend mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, Congressman Fred Upton is calling for action. The St. Joseph Republican says Congress needs to pass bipartisan Red Flag laws to give law enforcement and mental health officials “the tools to deny weapons capable of such carnage from being on the streets.” Upton says a “common sense response” to mass shootings in the United States is “way overdue.”

A suspected white supremacist drove nine hours from Dallas to El Paso on Saturday and is accused of killing 20 people at a Walmart after allegedly posting a manifesto about Texas being invaded by Hispanic immigrants. He survived and was arrested. In Dayton, a man in body armor with at least 100 rounds of ammunition shot and killed nine people in under 30 seconds, including his own sister, before police killed him early Sunday morning.
