Michigan residents can now get breaking news and information from their local Michigan State Police post via an app. MSP Lieutenant Michael Shaw tells us MSP Mobile is a chance to stay in touch with residents who may not get their information from radio and television.
“I think it’s going to get a lot of our younger residents that kind of rely on their smartphones and that form of communication,” Shaw said.
The app will provide users with instant alerts on traffic crashes, arrests, and criminal investigations in their local communities. Below is a tutorial video on MSP Mobile.
