State Representative Pauline Wendzel is holding a fall photo contest. She’s asking residents of her district to send in their photographs illustrating the best parts of southwest Michigan. The photos must be taken in the 79th District, which includes Coloma, St. Joseph, Benton Harbor, Bridgman, and Watervliet, as well as several surrounding townships. Wendzel says the top three winning entries will be framed and displayed in her office in Lansing. The photographer must be a resident of the 79th House District, and the winner and two runners-up will be invited to join Wendzel in Lansing for the unveiling of their photos. The winners will be announced the first week of November via Facebook and on Wendzel’s website. You can email the digital photos to Wendzel or submit them to her Facebook page. The deadline to enter is October 31.
